The Luigi Ghirri Foundation was established in 2025 as a non-profit organisation, with the aim of fostering, promoting and disseminating expressions of culture, photography, art and design, with particular reference to the artistic work of Luigi Ghirri.
The Foundation
The foundation works in collaboration with cultural institutions, museums, academies and other national and international organisations, and oversees activities aimed at promoting the artist’s work and contemporary visual culture in dialogue with new generations.
The artist
Luigi Ghirri (1943–1992) was an Italian photographer and visual artist, now regarded as one of the leading innovators of photographic language on an international level. Here you can find information and materials relating to his life and work.
